Edouard Ruelle Founder & President of the Children of Peru Foundation, Edouard was born in France and graduated from the EBS (European Business School), a graduate school of management in Paris, France. Edouard´s twenty plus years career in finance has focused in Emerging Markets and Latin America, trading fixed income securities. He has worked in the Emerging Markets Trading areas of Credit Lyonnais, Citibank, Deutsche Bank and ING in Buenos Aires, Paris, Caracas, London and New York where he is now settled. Edouard is now with Thomson Reuters in the Fixed Income divison of the “Global Accounts” group.
Zaralina Ruelle Co-founder & Treasurer of the Children of Peru Foundation, Zaralina was born in Caracas, Venezuela and holds both Bachelor and Master of Music (Violin) degrees from the Juilliard School of Music in New York. She played in Caracas in the Orquestra Sinfonica Venezuela as First Violin (concertino). She then went to Monaco to play in the Orchestre Symphonique de Monte-Carlo. Zaralina also played in Paris and London before settling into New York. A mother of two, Zaralina is currently working at the Lycee Francais de New York.
Jaime Mateus-Tique Co-founder, born in France, Jaime holds a Master’s degree from HEC (Hautes Etudes Commerciales) in Paris and holds a MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. Jaime spent 2 years in Caracas, Venezuela, working in the Representative Office of Credit Lyonnais, and then spent 5 years as a senior engagement manager at McKinsey & Co., a management consulting firm in Paris, London and New York. In 2000, Jaime co-founded Liquidity Services, Inc., a leading global provider of full-service solutions to market and sell surplus assets and wholesale goods; he served as its President and COO until 2009 and currently serves as a member of the Liquidity Services’ Board.
Mathias Cohen Secretary of the Children of Peru Foundation, Mathias was born in France and graduated from the EDHEC, a graduate school of management in Lille, France. He had an international career in management consulting in companies like Accenture and Stromberg Consulting, in places like Paris, London and San-Francisco, before settling into New York. In 2005 he co-founded Kidfresh, where he currently serves as CEO.
Gustavo Laurie Born in Arequipa, Peru, Gustavo holds a degree in Law from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and several degrees in international Relations and Diplomacy from the Diplomatic Academy in Peru. He began his career as a diplomat for Peru holding posts in Lima, Peru as well as Asuncion, Paraguay and Geneva, Switzerland. He joined the United Nations in Geneva in 2003. He is currently the Acting Chief of Policy and Advocacy Support in the UNMAS (United Nations Mine Action Service) in New York.
Francois-Regis Picolet Born in Lyon, France, Francois-Regis holds a degree from CERAM, a graduate school of management in Sophia-Antipolis, France. He began his career in the US in the IT industry before switching to event marketing and logistics with GL events. He served as Project Director for the France 98 World Cup of Soccer, and then moved to Australia to start up the GL events subsidiary in Sydney; he ran the operations of the 2000 Olympic Games there. In 2001, he started GL events USA in New York, and since then, has been spearheading the development of the group in the Americas, opening other subsidiaries in Montreal, Canada and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
